Plot Overview
Sandra (Katrina Bowden), a former pop star turned young mother, drives across the desert in a state-of-the-art futuristic SUV called the Monolith to visit her husband. Marketed as the safest car in the world, the Monolith features bulletproof armor, an advanced AI system, and unbreakable windows designed to protect its occupants from any threat.
While driving late at night along a secluded desert road, Sandra accidentally hits a deer. Stepping outside the vehicle to inspect the damage, her toddler son David (playing with her smartphone inside) inadvertently triggers the car’s lockdown feature (“Vault Mode”).
The Monolith seals itself shut instantly, turning the vehicle into an impenetrable steel safe. Stranded under the scorching desert sun with no cell signal, no water, and the car rapidly turning into a high-tech oven for her child, Sandra must use every ounce of her resourcefulness to bypass the ultimate security system and rescue her son before time runs out.
