Plot Overview
In a dystopian future, undesirables deemed unfit for society (“the bad batch”) are deported to a fenced-off Texas wasteland outside the jurisdiction of the United States. Shortly after arriving, young exile Arlen (Suki Waterhouse) is captured by a gang of cannibalistic bodybuilders led by Miami Man (Jason Momoa). After escaping at severe physical cost, Arlen makes her way to “Comfort,” a fenced sanctuary ruled by a charismatic cult-like leader known as The Dream (Keanu Reeves). When she encounters Miami Man’s young daughter, Arlen finds her desire for revenge conflicting with an unlikely connection to her former captor.
