Plot Overview
In the late 19th-century American frontier, frontierswoman Lizzy Macklin (Caitlin Gerard) and her husband Isaac (Ashley Zukerman) live a quiet, isolated life on a desolate stretch of land in New Mexico. Lizzy copes with loneliness, harsh climate conditions, and the haunting, relentless howl of the prairie wind.
Their routine shifts when a younger newlywed couple, Emma (Julia Goldani Telles) and Gideon Harper (Dylan McTee), move into an abandoned cabin nearby. Unprepared for the brutality of frontier life, Emma quickly grows paranoid, claiming an unseen demonic entity in the wind is pursuing her and her unborn child.
When tragedy strikes the Harpers, Lizzy is left alone on the homestead while the men travel to town. As night falls across the plains, Lizzy finds herself terrorized by unsettling noises, spectral visions, and mounting paranoia, forcing her to confront whether the entity in the wind is real or a product of psychological deterioration caused by extreme isolation.
