Plot Overview
Set during the desperate retreat of the Red Army in the summer of 1941 during World War II, a Soviet artillery unit is forced to abandon a top-secret rocket launcher system—the revolutionary BM-13 “Katyusha”—behind enemy lines.
To prevent the advanced technology from falling into German hands, a crack team of eight soldiers led by Captain Ermakov (Aleksandr Ustyugov) is sent on a dangerous covert mission deep into Nazi-occupied territory. Outnumbered and surrounded, the squad must locate, secure, and destroy the weapon before enemy engineers can inspect or reverse-engineer its design.
