Plot Overview
Archaeologist Sigurd Svendsen (Pål Sverre Hagen) becomes obsessed with deciphering Viking runes from the Oseberg ship burial. Believing the runes point to a secret treasure connected to the ancient myth of Ragnarok, Sigurd leads an expedition with his two children and colleagues into no-man’s-land between Norway and Russia.
When they reach an isolated lake island, they discover that the myth was not a prophecy of the future, but a historical warning about a massive, terrifying sea monster living beneath the dark waters.
