Plot Overview
Four friends—Melissa (Kristin Kowalski), her fiancé Ben (Nick Zano), Melissa’s sister Kayla (Laura Jordan), and Kayla’s punk online boyfriend Nik (Kyle Schmid)—are driving across the desert on a road trip to Las Vegas for a bachelor party. Their trip hits a wall when their car breaks down in a desolate stretch of the Utah desert.
Seeking help, they stumble upon an apparently abandoned house containing a restored 1972 Chevrolet Chevelle in the garage. They decide to borrow the vehicle to get to the nearest truck stop, leaving a note and money for the owner. Unbeknownst to them, the house and car belong to Rusty Nail (Mark Gibbon), the vengeful, sadistic semi-truck driver with a lethal hatred for disrespectful travelers.
Realizing his vehicle was taken, Rusty Nail stalks the group in his massive 18-wheeler. Instead of a quick assault, he subjects them to a series of sadistic psychological games and horrific physical tortures, forcing the friends to make brutal sacrifices to stay alive as he hunts them down along the highway.
