Plot Overview
On the final day of a summer vacation in the Florida backwoods, a group of friends stumbles across a derelict house bearing a ominous warning. Investigating inside, they are ambushed by an axe-wielding, trench-coat-wearing serial killer wearing a grotesque alligator mask—known as “Gator Face”—and his pack of man-eating alligators.
After several members of the group are brutally slaughtered, sole survivor Jess (Amariah Dionne) flees into the swamps. She crosses paths with a group of stranded travelers whose van broke down nearby. Hunted across flooded marshes, junkyards, and abandoned ruins, the survivors seek refuge in a remote church run by Father Eli (Scot Scurlock).
However, they discover the sanctuary is actually the headquarters of a fanatical backwoods cult—”The Church of the Old Flesh”—that worships a reptilian god and uses the masked killer to harvest human sacrifices to feed the swamp’s native alligators.
