Plot Overview
In a world devastated by a global pandemic that turns victims into hostile, flesh-eating infected, young boy Marko (Matej Sivakov) lives in strict isolation deep inside a secluded forest. Under the protective and controlling gaze of his father (Sasko Kocev), Marko is taught that the woods are the only safe haven and that the outside world is overrun by “Evil Ones”.
Marko’s isolated world shatters when he encounters Miko (Aleksandar Nichovski), an innocent boy living on the fringes of the wilderness. Their meeting sets off a chain of events that forces Marko out of the safety of the trees and into the wider, ruined wasteland.
As the boys travel across dangerous territory to find shelter, Marko must navigate the threats posed by infected wanderers and hostile human factions, coming of age in a world devoid of innocence.
