Plot Overview
Following a sudden zombie apocalypse that devastates Las Vegas, Molly (Brittany Allen), a troubled woman from the city, and her boyfriend Nick (Merwin Mondesir) flee into the Nevada desert in a sports car toward an airfield to catch an escape flight to Mexico.
Their car breaks down in the middle of the desert, and Nick is killed almost immediately by a solitary wandering zombie (Juan Riedinger). Stranded in high heels, with minimal supplies, and wearing a velvet dress, Molly is forced to trek across the scorching, desolate desert terrain on foot.
The undead creature—whom Molly mockingly names “Smitty”—relentlessly pursues her. Because zombies do not tire, Smitty keeps a steady, unhurried pace directly behind her day and night. As Molly navigates dehydration, heat exhaustion, and brutal desert conditions, her dynamic with Smitty shifts from sheer terror to a bizarre, dark camaraderie, forcing her to confront her past traumas and find the inner strength to survive.
